Because Roommates Can Be SO Annoying

From today's Times, a typical example of the twisted logic that this Administration (or, in this case, the Pentagon carrying out the orders of this Administration) seem to think is completely reasonable:

"Before the trial, Mr. Hamdan’s [Bin Laden's alleged driver] lawyers claimed that he had been mistreated by long stretches in solitary confinement. A spokeswoman, Cmdr. Pauline Storum, responded at the time that that was not possible because there were no solitary confinement cells in Guantánamo, only 'single-occupancy cells.'"
