They're shutting down the Large Haldron Collider for repairs and expect it to be down for at least two months. This means they won't be starting it up again before late November/early December, at the earliest. So for me, whether or not the potential black hole that will eat the Earth is a good thing or a bad thing will depend on who wins the election. If McCain/Palin wins, it's "Haldron, take me away!"
